ABOUT US

ARPIS Regional association for the social inclusion is an NGO established in 2018 in the city of Torrevieja, Valencian community, Spain. The city with more 100000 inhabitants is unique for its multicultural atmosphere. More than 50% of the residents are foreigners. Because of this the city attract people from many countries and cultures. Our work started as a volunteer help to people from local community. We provide practical help with solving the problems and removing the barriers defending full inclusion into society especially for the individuals and families with disadvantaged social background.

Later the amount of activities started to grow and we start to organize regular meetings, events and education courses and amount of volunteers working for us became to grow. In 2018 we decided to establish association and start our work on professional level. ARPIS is now an active member of local community of NGO´s and we cooperate in many local events and actions with wide variety of partners from NGO's, private and public sector. We are providing professional and volunteer-based support for people in all age groups. 

   We have 3 main areas of our work:

   

    Education

- Rising awareness especially for young people and their families on the importance to continuing upper            secondary education studies with the support of the social actions.                     
- Formal and informal education and training provided directly into local community especially for disadvantaged individuals and their families.       

- By implementing new modern tools and ways of learning make life-long learning more attractive and increase participation of adults in permanent learning.
                                                                                                                                                                                                            - Providing adult literacy programmes, including learning activities focused on social participation and knowledge of information and communication technologies.

       Individual Support

 - Helping individuals and families to face obstacles in their full inclusion.              

      - Providing individual counselling and practical assistance in problem solving.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                        - Providing of personal assistance in order to solve different problems in the life.

       

        Networking

- Bringing together people from local community with different backgrounds                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  - We organize several events in our community in order to get people together, rise awareness  of being useful for the community and support full inclusion of disadvantaged individuals and  families.
