The
HANGOUT project aims to re-engage NEETs and marginalised young people into
education by developing innovative, non-formal learning programmes that attract
even the most reluctant learners and set them on their path to fulfilment and
inclusion. To achieve this, the HANG OUT consortium will work with adult and
community educators who are at the front-line of second-chance education and provide
them with essential continuous professional development training. This training
will support them to deliver digital media skills training to NEETs as a means
of re-engaging them in mainstream education, as well as their pedagogic skills
to integrate embedded learning, challenge-based learning, digital tools and
social media into their teaching practice. Through building their digital competences,
adult educators will be better equipped to engage NEETs remotely, thereby overcoming
several barriers to classroom-based participation by providing them access to
an online site of interactive and engaging digital resources.
The GOLDEN SKILLS project intents to provide parents with the right tools and knowledge to be able to educate their children about finance and financial literacy. Financial literacy is a key competence and needs to be regarded as such. It is as essential a skill for inclusion as any other form of literacy.

NEET IDEA PROJECT.
What will NEET IDEA achieve? NEET IDEA will support digital native NEET's to reintegrate into mainstream education, training, and employment. This project aims to focus on young adults between the ages of 20-34 who are on the margins of mainstream society - these young people are often classed as NEETs i.e. Not in Employment, Education or Employment.
The NEET IDEA project will provide learners with the opportunity to up-skill on the topic of digital and social media production. By working with educators, the project will also promote bespoke non-formal learning resources around digital and social media production. By offering learning materials that appeal to young digital natives, NEET IDEA encourages participants to develop useful skills, develop behaviours, and change attitudes towards re-entering education, employment, or training in the future.

THE PROGRESS OF the NEET IDEA project
Leading up to March, 2021 the project partners have worked on creating content for a curriculum that will feature audio-visual production Training Modules, and accompanying pedagogic elements. This In-Service Training Programme will be held in February 2022.
The NEET-IDEA partners have developed an entire training program that uses inquiry-based and embedded-learning methodologies to develop a wide range of skills and attitudes that are essential for personal growth and personal fulfilment of the NEET target group. The training also includes audio-visual modules that will serve VET tutors as a basis for educating NEET's to learn all about video recording and to become part of a film crew in a role that fits their personal preferences or personalities.
The In-Service Training Programme will be piloted in February 2022 and on it each partner will send two educators who will further implement the trainings with the NEET-target group in each partner country.
